Writing A Newspaper Article

I’m writing in G minor, the leading tone would be F#, but what about other accidentals?

I like to write songs, but have a hard time coming up with lead guitar parts. I play on a electric guitar, and write rock songs, in general. I can always figure out a good rhythm part, but I can never make up a lead part that doesn’t sound like crap. Any tips on writing lead guitar parts for rock songs?
